I’m running for mayor to maintain and build upon the unique character and quality of life we enjoy in North Mankato.

I’ve been here a long time, having moved to the area in 1982 to attend MSU. I’ve lived in North Mankato for decades as a student, renter and homeowner — now a dad and grandfather. And, for the next few months, as a candidate eager to contribute my time and talents to your experience as a North Mankato resident.

To this day, the city maintains a sweet balance of a small-town vibe with the exciting activities and opportunities for responsible growth in areas of housing, business and entertainment. I’m lucky to have my two young grandkids live just a few blocks away from my Lower North home. I want them to have the best growing-up possible in a town that demonstrates the value of working together and watching out for each other. That happens in so many ways, from gathering at the Fun Days carnival to soccer games to Blues on Belgrade.

Taking such care is an ongoing job, and there’s work ahead for all of us to preserve the best of what we have and expand upon it for an even better future.
